ACTIVITIES
INTRO
VOCABULARY
Brainstorming
Meal Routines Throw
This activity practices adverbs such as never, sometimes, usually, often and always.
First, make to queues of students and split the blackboard on 2 columns. Each student must write a food word and then move to the end of the queue so his/her friend will write the next. Give them a couple of minutes and tell them that they can write the words all around the blackboard, not necessary in column form. (if you have a large class, have the students shout out and the teacher write the words down). The teacher can add some extra words at the end.
In the second part of the game, a student from Team A or B will throw a screwed up paper ball at the board. Whatever food word it hits the student must make a sentence using the structure "I ___ eat ___ for (breakfast, lunch or dinner), e.g. "I sometimes eat chicken for dinner". If the student successfully hits a word and makes a good sentence he/she wins a point for his team. If the student misses a word or gets the sentence wrong his/her team misses out on a point.
